If i plugged in a large USB external hard drive and got VLC or something, could i just put all the movies on the hard drive (using my computer of course) and then plug in the hard drive into the pi and just run it? Would that work or do i need something more? And would using a standard HDMI cable to connect the pi to the television work? Also, what is the likelihood that i could attach a wifi dongle and use that to stream things off of the internet (such as youtube or netflix) and how would the video be? I know the pi is supposed to be able to output 1080p but would that work with an HDMI? and will this all be really laggy or will it work well? Thanks!
